I have said it once and I'm going to say it again, you can't go wrong with the Horrible Books. Murderous Maths hits it out of the park. My youngest son, who is not my math fan, is loving math time thanks to these books. My oldest son, who does love math, picks these books up just to read. We now own almost all of the Horrible Books, even the specials. They are just that good. I highly recommend these books.Product details

Our children love impressing us with their Math Facts. We are learning right along side of them.
My 8-year-old LOVES this book, and goes back to it often, even trying out some of the tricks and equations found through it. My other 8-year-old isn't interested in it, though she's not as into math so that isn't surprising.
I miss the original book covers, but the insides are just as funny and interesting maths as before. This has greatly improved my understanding of math and my enjoyment of it, too.
So, we've only read the first book so far, but based off that, I think we are going to love the rest.
They present math concepts in a way that is fun for kids. If a regular math approach isn't working for your child, this verbal comedy approach might. For us, the abstract approach with math works great, but learning it through a verbal approach I think just adds a extra level of understanding.
Wonderful! These are great books as an introduction to a topic, or as review. Not good enough to teach the concepts independently, unless a parent or teacher reads along with the child with frequent feedback and explanations and practice designed by the parent or teacher. Then, the child can read the book alone for review. Love this series!
If your kids struggles with math or simply hates it, this is your book. It is very funny and written by people who seem to understand math struggles if all sorts.
My kid doesn't have any math issues but loves these books for the very funny and entertaining enrichment
